Public lecture by Hakan Yavuz. The lecture will present dimensions of Turkish secularism, will nuance it and will introduce its challengers.

Umut Azak (Wissenschaftskolleg, Berlin) and Andrew Finkel (journalist, Istanbul) react to the lecture by Hakan Yavuz

The conference will be semi-public: only a limited number of listeners can be admitted. Those (professionals, students, researchers) interested in attending are advised to write to registration@isim.nl before 22 September 2008. The conference offers the opportunity to listeners to ask questions and fully participate in a final discussion session.
